HYPNOTHERAPY

Hypnotherapy is a psychotherapeutic tool that induces a state of relaxation with the help of which the client's attention is focused on the interior of his being. This deep relaxation is called trance and is similar to what you experience when you let yourself be carried away in the world of a good book or movie, where you no longer have the notion of time and what is happening outside of you.

 

It is a natural phenomenon that we all experience every day. The difference is that in the hypnotherapy trance the relaxation is deeper. In this trance state the body and conscious mind relax, bringing a pleasant feeling of calm and invigoration. Thus, a modified state of consciousness is created, in which creativity and personal resources are unlocked, allowing the emergence of a palette of new perspectives and solutions. In hypnotherapy, the role of the therapist is to guide the attention of the client, in a trance, to the path that leads to the solution he/she wants.

HOW CAN  HYPNOTHERAPY HELP YOU:

  • as a relaxation and mindfulness technique

 

  • if you are interested in exploring and unlocking your true potential

 

  • when there is an internal oppositional force (referred to as the Inner Critic) that does not allow for substantial change of your troubling beliefs, emotions and behaviors. This oppositional force is not easy to access by dialogical psychotherapy techniques and the desired progress cannot be achieved

 

  • if there are deep traumas whose emotional load does not allow exploration through dialogical psychotherapeutic techniques because there is a risk of re-traumatization

Hypnotherapy, although it addresses a wide range of conditions and disorders, has certain contraindications which you will find listed below. This is due to the factor of unpredictability involved in clinical mental disorders and some serious physical conditions.

 

  • Epilepsy

  • Narcolepsy

  • Heart Related Disorders

  • Very High or Very Low Blood Pressure

  • Addictions which can generate Severe Withdrawal Symptom

  • Cognitive Impairment

  • Psychosis

  • Paranoid Personality Disorder

  • Severe Depression

  • Suicidal ideation and tendency

  • Bipolar Personality Disorder

  • Borderline Personality Disorder

  • Being under the influence of Alchool, Substances or certain Medication
